CXXX

As far as It’s-the-First-Week-of-Summer! podcasts go, this one’s a moody little shit—probably far better suited for hallucinogens or late-evening bonging than, I don’t know, what do normal, healthy people do in the summer? Sandcastles? This probably isn’t good sandcastle music.
Not that I’m saying you should take drugs and listen to this podcast, or that you’d have to in order to enjoy it, but…if you’re planning on doing them anyway? Listening to this is certainly a better idea than, say, ripping your own genitals off. Sounds like a buzzkill:
Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an alarm set off by a broken window at Ypsilanti Middle School in Ypsilanti, Mich., according to the Detroit Free Press. Once they arrived, they said they found [a dude whacked on mushrooms] kneeling outside the school, naked and bloody from the waist down, with a portion of his genitals ripped off.
“He mutilated his genitals with his bare hands,” Sgt. Geoff Fox told AnnArbor.com. “He was doing a lot of yelling and screaming.”
There’s a lot of yelling and screaming on this podcast, too, but make no mistake: it is a lot more fun while high than bare-handed genital-ripping. The first and last ten minutes are going to be pretty intense, I’ll warn you, but hold in there, it gets awfully cozy in the middle. And your junk stays intact!
Genital-friendly CMGcast CXXX is also dedicated to our sister site the Damper’s Top 100 Albums of the ’70s list, compiled by CMG editors-at-large Mark Abraham and Dom Sinacola, with help from many of your favourite ’70s sitcom stars. Dying to know what Shirley Feeney thinks of Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy? With thanks to all of the artists and potential drugs involved, fire up this podcast and head over to the Damper to find out:
