Big thanks once again to all the artists and labels and gracious PR reps involved in this, our triumphantly rocking 51st podcast.

Not to walk you through it, but a few notes: “Gauze,” a now fourteen (!) year old gem from Tim Rutili, is probably the best opening track I’ve had on one of these things. “Remember Severed Head” is another favorite, from ex-Unicorn Alden Penner and former Arcade Fire something-or-other Brendan Reed’s new project, Clues. According to the group’s press photo, a squiggly blob and Richard Alpert from LOST are also involved:

Cherries on top: brand new Dirt Dress and Britt Daniel-produced White Rabbits, the monstrous opener from Cymbals Eat Guitars’ debut, a two-fer from Pläns Pläns’ odd sophomore record, and one of the more Devin Davis-y songs from Harlem Shakes’ Technicolor Health, which roughly half of the CMG staff is crushingly wistfully on right now. Enjoy.
