LXI

By Chris Molnar | 1 September 2009

Still by Carlos Reygadas, from his film Silent Light

Angel Deradoorian makes her second appearance in a row (I swear I got there before Conrad), Kid Sam graduates from the NBH list, and the rest of the fall’s first podcast is a collection of some slept-on tracks by both the familiar and upcoming. Multi-band extraordinaire Fred Thomas anchors all the atmosphere and acoustics with some home-brewed delicacies from the recent Flood reissue.

Thanks again to all the labels, PR groups, and bands who let their music be heard. Hopefully their work comes together to evoke the glittery, quiet Pacific Northwest of the Twilight movies, a mythical, vampire-ridden place where George Harrison, Stevie Nicks, and David Lynch covers can roam wild and free.
