LXXV

By Scott Reid | 18 July 2010

Consider this a quick part two of last week’s indie rock/pop summer round-up, just a bit louder, jam-ier, and, in the case of that closing track from Yellow Swans, leisurely sandblasting your face off-ier. Also: 300% more bands with “Black” in their name.

For many of our readers this podcast also works as a comedown from P-fork Fest weekend (speaking of: our staff coverage will continue throughout the week, and Colin’s live-Tweeting if you catch this before the evening’s over), which included performances from exactly zero of the bands featured here.

Lastly, this podcast is dedicated to those who wish to join our tremendously charming staff (need a good chili recipe? We’ve got several), but perhaps have wondered a) if we are hiring (we very much are) and/or b) how to go about applying. Click here and scroll down a bit for more info on that. So, with thanks to all the labels and artists involved, as always, enjoy this while drafting that application:
