With love and thanks to all of the artists/labels involved, CMG podcast #78 is paced to reflect the vacation I’m currently on: it starts with a virulent “fuck the world” (Gibbs was on repeat during the as-grotesque-as-expected Greyhound ride our last podcast was dedicated to, though unfortunately not able to drown out the overwhelming smell of stale ass), flip-flops on that for a while (…yeah, I guess it’s worth traveling in a box of stale ass for eight hours; white flag), and then eventually builds to a smile, of sorts. In Greenhouse’s case, it’s Illogic celebrating that he’s doing the shit he was born to do; in my case, a celebration of a) still having a head, and b) being too content in doing fuck-all for a week to care that I’m facing an equally lengthy and relentlessly asspipe-scented trip back. If you happen to be on the same bus next week, be sure to not sneak up while Gibbs gets me back into the proper mood and brings this full circle—best to pop this on your iPod and join in with my “fuck the world“s from a distance.
