XXXVI

By Joel Elliott | 1 October 2007

Put away those Misfits records. Don’t bother looking for the latest Rob Zombie-curated Halloween mix. This shit is the real deal: 10 brutal sound sculptures to haunt and irritate your neighbours. Sure there’s the violent squeals and outbursts of pure terror, but its those moments of subtle unease that will get you out of bed three times to check if the doors are still locked. Remember, the devil is in the details.

A special thank you to the bands and labels, and a special curse to Stephen Harper, for his I-believe-in-the-traditional-definition-of-marriage-policy, and for taking the “Throne Speech” too literally. A special room in Hell awaits you, Mr. Harper, with a dozen nagging, miserable heterosexual couples chained to each other.

Also, Wikipedia. Fuck those guys.
